An A-lister just can’t get engaged these days without a massive engagement ring—see Kim Kardashian’s 15-carat flawless diamond, Ciara’s 16-carat sparkler from Russell Wilson, and the 35-carat rock James Packer picked to propose to Mariah Carey.
Anyone in the market for an equally impressive engagement ring, should make his (or her) way to Sotheby’s Magnificent Jewels auction, which kicks off April 19 and features more than 100 rings—all magnificent, naturally—fit for rock stars, royalty, or Real Housewives. The most impressive bauble up for grabs: The Shirley Temple Blue Diamond, which was presented to the 12-year-old child star by her father to celebrate her film The Blue Bird. The 9.54-carat blue diamond sits in a split-shank Tiffany & Co. setting with two rows of diamond on either side. It doesn’t get more magnificent than that. Here’s that ring, and 16 more engagement rings that will be up for grabs. Just be sure to bring your Amex Black: The least-expensive among them is expected to go for a minimum of $100,000.
